On October 25 - The members of the West Ridge FD Junior Firefighter Program experienced their first hands on
training. After several weeks of learning and watching, the Junior Firefighters had the opportunity to use the various rescue tools that WRFD uses.
Before the training took place, a detailed review on how the various rescue tools worked and their many functions. Since this was the first hands on training
for the Junior Firefighters, several WRFD Firefighters stood by and assisted the Juniors in all aspects of their training.
As WRFD Firefighters were training on one car, the Junior Firefighters were brought over to a second car. There, they learned out to take out the side windows,
the back window and the front windshield properly and safely. After that was complete, the Junior Firefighters had the opportunity to use the various rescue
tools to take off the passenger side doors, cut the roof off of the vehicle and even roll the dash.
